Labirint Press publishers — since 1995

Labirint Press Publishers was founded in 1995 as a part of the Labirint Book-selling Company. Having released its first children’s books, our Publishing House decided this would be our main goal for the future. We have published a lot of different books since then: Both big and small books, expensive and low cost too. Books for the more sophisticated and others for soap opera fans. Books for toddlers and their parents. However our leading publishing activity still remains the same: high-quality and innovative children’s books.
Our titles are now well known for their original design and an eye- catching combination of materials. Each series is created to fulfill a certain task: from the development of movement and speech, creativity and emotions, to helping to understand the world around us, first words, numbers, letters, shapes and colours, and space and time. This is done through play, thus making it easier for a child to take the first steps in learning.
Most of our titles have no equal in the Russian market. Some of these unique books include – A book of fruits and vegetables with wonderful scented pages. Also a series of books with EVA foam, with a patented construction combining sturdy board pages and environmentally friendly soft EVA foam material. There is yet another series of books with moving and sliding elements and other types of mechanics.
Long and enduring partnerships with leading publishers and manufacturers have helped us to maintain our high printing standards and book safety – with all our titles being strictly tested and certificated and comply with recognized international standards of quality.
Following many years of close relationships with Russian and foreign publishers and printers, in 2005 Labirint Press launched its first self created titles, continuing its tradition for high quality children’s books. They were created by our team of talented and ambitious professionals - authors, illustrators, designers and editors – especially suited to the needs of the discerning Russian reader.
Among the series that are most loved and cherished by young readers are books with piano modules, some with squeaky surprises, books with rattles, and others with EVA foam with puzzles.
Today, our book-publishing list consists of more than 1500 titles. Ranging from traditional educational books, albums for girls, children’s fiction books and die-cut dolls to such truly original titles such as an interactive family reading New Year story book that became a real sensation in the Russian book market!
We always set our sights high!
Having published many books for young readers from ages 0 to 15, we decided start publishing books about children as well. We began working with prominent specialists such as psychologists, nutritionists and teachers. This resulted in a series of parenting guidebooks. With a bright design, a clear layout and the traditionally high printing standards which make this series the most current and up-to-date, fresh and interesting as part of the modern parenting books’ market.
We do not forget those that are about to become parents too. We are very proud to present wonderful “serious stuff” encyclopedias containing a lot of medical advice on pregnancy, childbirth, child-care as well as books that depict humorously and tenderly the feelings of a woman who is getting ready for a baby’s arrival. You can also find in our list, beautiful richly illustrated encyclopedias, books on housekeeping and cookery, beauty, hobbies, fitness, well-being, psychology and last but not least – yearly horoscopes from the famous astrologer, Tamara Globa.
